Meet our Executive Leadership Team

  • Ian Hansen

    Ian Hansen

    Managing Director
    Ian Hansen was appointed Managing Director of WesCEF in 2016. Prior to this, he was the Chief Operating Officer. Ian began his career at Wesfarmers flagship agricultural business, CSBP, as a Chemist, spending ten years in rural WA. His commercial acumen saw him offered the opportunity to lead CSBP’s joint venture - Australian Gold Reagents (AGR), and in 2001 he was appointed to his first executive role. For the next six years, he led CSBP's fertilisers and chemicals businesses before being offered the position of CSBP Managing Director in 2007. Ian is a Director of a number of Wesfarmers Group subsidiaries and joint ventures and is a Board member of Chemistry Australia and the International Fertilizer Association.      
  • Tanya Rybarczyk

    Tanya Rybarczyk

    General Manager Kleenheat
    Tanya was appointed General Manager Kleenheat in 2021. Prior to this, she was General Manager CSBP Fertilisers. Tanya has been with Wesfarmers for over 20 years, holding various positions in business development, private equity and investor relations before joining WesCEF in 2011 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Wesfarmers, Tanya worked at EY in Perth and for a number of organisations in Europe. Tanya is a Chartered Accountant, and her other qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
  • Barney Jones

    Barney Jones

    General Manager Chemical Joint Ventures
    Barney was appointed to General Manager CSBP Chemicals Joint Ventures in May 2018. Prior to this he was CSBP's Fertiliser Storage and Despatch Manager. Barney began his career at Wesfarmers Limited in 2005 as Manager for Business Projects. He moved to CSBP in 2010 as Commercial Manager Ammonium Nitrate. Previously, Barney was a Strategy Consultant at Bain & Company working in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Barney holds a MA and DPhil in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance, FINSIA/Kaplan Professional.
  • Mark Scatena

    Mark Scatena

    General Manager CSBP Fertilisers
    Mark was appointed General Manager CSBP Fertilisers in 2021. Prior to CSBP, Mark held the roles of General Manager Digital, General Manager Strategy, Online & Supply Chain, and Chief Financial Officer at Wesfarmers-owned retailer Target, and General Manager Investor Relations & Strategy at Wesfarmers Limited. Since joining Wesfarmers in 2001, Mark has held roles within Wesfarmers and its current and former subsidiaries (including WesCEF, Coles and Target) in areas including business development, commercial, finance, strategy, operations and supply chain, digital and general management. Mark holds Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Western Australia and has completed the Wesfarmers Executive Development Program and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia’s Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment. Mark is currently a director of Fertilizer Australia and has been a director of a number of Wesfarmers subsidiaries, a Governor of The University of Notre Dame (Australia) and a member of its Business School Advisory Board.
  • Stephen (Steve) Cowle

    General Manager - Minerals
    Steve joined WesCEF in the newly created role GM Minerals in October 2021, representing WesCEF’s interests in the Mt Holland Lithium Project. Steve has worked in the mining industry for 38 years, working in geology, operations and executive roles. Prior to joining WesCEF, he spent ten years working for Newcrest Mining as GM Telfer Operations, GM Operational Projects, and GM Minerals. Before this, Steve was a mine geologist in business planning and technology development, working in Indonesia, West Africa, PNG and Western Australia. Steve has a Bachelor of Geology and Diploma of Education from Monash University.
  • Mussaret Nagree

    Mussaret Nagree

    General Manager Climate Opportunities
    Mussaret Nagree was appointed General Manager Climate Opportunities in 2020, reflecting WesCEF's strong focus on sustainability, climate and emissions. Prior to this, Mussaret was General Manager Innovation and Advanced Analytics. Mussaret has been with the Wesfarmers Group since 2007, where she held a variety of roles within Wesfarmers’ Business Development team as well as co-leading its Emerging Ventures team. Prior to joining Wesfarmers, Mussaret was a Fund Manager and Equities Analyst at Schroders in London and BT Investment Group in Sydney. Mussaret is a Chartered Financial Analyst with a Bachelor of Business.
  • Sheldon Renkema

    Sheldon Renkema

    General Manager Business Development
    Sheldon was appointed WesCEF General Manager Business Development in July 2021. Prior to this, he held the position of General Manager Legal (Corporate) at Wesfarmers. Sheldon has been with Wesfarmers Group since 2015, where he held a number of roles within the legal team. Prior to joining Wesfarmers, Sheldon was Legal Counsel at BHP Billiton and an Associate at Minter Ellison Law Firm. Sheldon is a Board Member of the Activ Foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Murdoch University and An MBA from UNSW Business School.
  • Julie Watson

    Julie Watson

    General Manager HSEQ and Operational Services
    Julie joined WesCEF in the role of General Manager Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) and Technical Services in January 2020. Julie previously worked as GM Asset Management and Petroleum Engineering Manager at Quadrant Energy and spent ten years at Apache Energy in various engineering and commercial roles. Julie is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Adelaide.
  • Joanne (Joe) Perkins

    General Manager - HR and Corporate Affairs
    Joe joined WesCEF as GM HR and Corporate Affairs in January 2022. Prior to this, she was Director, People and Culture at Murdoch University. Joe's 24-year career in Human Resources began in England, where she held a variety of roles in HR, transformation and culture across a variety of industries including technology, media and rail. Joe moved to Perth in 2012 and spent the next seven years with Bankwest and the Commonwealth Bank in a wide range of HR roles, including Head of Strategy, Planning and Operations, People and Culture Lead (Risk Environment & Culture Program) and GM Strategy & Organisational Development. Joe holds a degree in Business and Psychology from the University of Central Lancashire, a CIPD Human Resources from The University of West London and a Post Graduate Award in Business Leadership from the University of Warwick.
  • Leigh Meyers

    General Manager CSBP Ammonia/Ammonium Nitrate
    Leigh was appointed General Manager CSBP Ammonia/Ammonium Nitrate in August 2022. Prior to this, he was Production Manager Ammonia/Ammonia Nitrate. Leigh joined CSBP in 2003 as a Process Engineer and has held various roles across WesCEF’s businesses in Production, Operations and Process Safety. Leigh holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering), a Bachelor of Applied Science (Applied Chemistry) and a Certificate of Business Administration from Curtin University.
  • David Zacher

    General Manager Major Projects
    David was appointed General Manager Major Projects in August 2022. Prior to this he was Production and Engineering Manager at Kleenheat’s Production Facility in Kwinana Western Australia. David joined CSBP in 2007 as Manager Reliability and has since worked in various engineering and management roles across CSBP, including six years as CSBP Ammonia/AN Production Manager and three years as Technical Services Manager. David holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Australia.
  • Alex Willcocks

    Chief Financial Officer
    Alex was appointed as WesCEF’s Chief Financial Officer in October 2022 . Prior to this, she was Wesfarmers Executive General Manager Group Accounting & Assurance. She has held roles across the Wesfarmers Group for over 15 years, including General Manager positions in investor relations and business development as well as Chief Financial Officer, Kmart. Before starting with Wesfarmers, Alex worked in the consulting and media sectors in both London and Australia including time with Deloitte and Sony Pictures. Alex holds a masters degree in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, is a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) and Certified Practising Accounting (CPA) Australia, and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). She is Chair of Wespine Industries (a Wesfarmers subsidiary) and a Director of the Group of 100.
